trend Suits for Girls

The sexy, slim cut suit that’s formal enough for a man, but made for a woman is hot to trot for spring. Already celebs have been filing down the awards show red carpets in sleek, distinctly feminine suiting.

Kate Winslet attended the Iris premiere in this stunning, black and white contrast ensemble, choosing to bear a little skin. Halle Berry appeared at the premiere of Monster’s Ball in a lacy camisole that peered out from beneath a black jacket. But, be sure to add a spicy piece to the suit mix to avoid bland, overly formal looks.

O.K., men. It’s time to have some fun. Prints are hot, and men in prints are hotter. Think Greg Brady from neck to belt. Shirts decorated with abstract, painterly florals, stripes, and paisley in bright colors are the perfect way to welcome the heat of summer.

And maybe the best news about this 70s rock star top trend is that it’s cheap! There’s no better selling point for the frugal male. Check out your local Salvation Army. Or if that ‘s too repugnant for you, try the more costly alternative, Urban Outfitters.

trend 50s style sun dress

also seen on Winona Ryder, Reese Witherspoon

Anyone who tuned in to Sex and the City this past Sunday night would have been hard pressed not to notice that almost every lovely lady donned a sweet, but sassy sun dress.

Carrie’s had crossed-back straps and characteristically vivacious prints in brazen colors. Charlotte stayed demure in white cotton lightly sprinkled with delicate pink flowers, and a flirty pink belt. The very pregnant Miranda even managed to slip into a cool cotten number for dinner in Chinatown in a high-waisted version splashed with warm reds and oranges.
