The women’s polo team hopes to continue to ride its hot hand tonight when it hosts the Garrison Polo Club of Garrison, Md. The team is a conglomeration of clubs in the state of Maryland and features two Cornell

graduates.

The Red, which enters tonight’s game coming off a victory over rival UVA two

weeks ago, is confident that its play will be closer to the caliber that

it needs to be to during the postseason. The team sees this game as a warm

up for the tougher match ups it can expect in the coming weeks.

“They’re a challenging club in the echelon of Colorado and Virginia,”

commented head coach David Eldredge ’81, whose squad is relaxed but confident.

The regular starting lineup of seniors Liz Antczak and Melissa Riggs and

junior Taylor McLean will take to the Oxley soil, hoping to continue to

build toward the playoffs, which begin with the Eastern Regional

Championships in two weeks.

“We’re hoping to climb the hill and peak at the right time,” commented

Eldredge.
