I nearly ran out of column ideas this week. I’ll admit it. It was a tough week.

So at 10 p.m. last night, wracking my brain for ideas, I began to listen to the cosmos … it was actually just three of my friends in the living room wildly bantering while watching Game 4 of the World Series.

Picture this: an excitable Jewish lad (JL), an Egyptian-born linebacker (EL), an upstate hick suffering from a severe case of mononucleosis (Mono), and me (Me).
