Volleyball Plays for NCAA Bid

The Cornell volleyball team’s weekend itinerary is set. After Yale’s victory over Brown and Princeton’s win against Penn last night, the Red will take part in the first four-game playoff in Ivy League volleyball history this weekend at the Viniar Center in Schenectady, N.Y.

Cornell, which is the No. 3 seed based on it’s combined record against Harvard, Princeton, and Yale — the teams it tied for the Ivy League title. It will play No. 2 Princeton at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. No. 1 Yale will play No. 4 Harvard in the other first-round matchup, which will take place at 4 p.m.

The winners of the two first round matches will face off against each other in the final at 4 p.m. on Sunday. The team that wins Sunday’s final match will receive the Ivy League’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
