Baseball, Softball and Field Hockey Players Earn Honors

Junior outfielder Brian Kaufman earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors after helping the Red to a 2-1 weekend. Kaufman hit an amazing .857 including two doubles, two triples and seven RBIs.

In softball, junior Jenn Meunier was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week after helping the Red maintain its unblemished record of 10-0. Meunier went 4-0 and earned a save in five appearances. The Cincinnati, Ohio native finished the weekend with a 0.76 ERA, thanks to 24 strikeouts and allowing the opposition to bat just .200. Meunier also had two shutout performances.

Four members of the field hockey team were named to the NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Squad. Earning the honors were sophomores Stephanie Brownstein, Katlyn Donoghue, Alyssa DePaola and Kate Randall. In order to make the squad, one must achieve at least a 3.30 GPA through the first semester of the 2006-07 academic year.
