Weather for April 9, 2007

Spring really just does not want to make a showing. Sailing class on Cayuga Lake yesterday was a bit “chilly” to say the least. We are well into April, and the weather is still terrible.
As it stands now, there will not be much of an improvement this week. Temperature-wise, we will warm up slightly toward the end of the week by roughly 10 degrees.
However, we will transition from bitter snow to cold rain. We might see a brief break on Wednesday with some sun breaking through the clouds, but otherwise, expect unpleasant weather all week and even into the weekend. I have my eye on a potential severe weather outbreak in the Plains late this week that may spell doom for our weather this weekend. We’ll have to see what happens.
