Cornell Grads are Public Embarrassments

Print More

It’s disheartening to see fellow Cornellians make jack-asses out of themselves each and every day in the public eye. Cornell stands alone is producing the three most vitriolic hate-mongers in the political chattering class: Ann Coulter, Bill Maher, and Keith Olberman. It’s a dubious honor for Cornell to capture Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the spewing of hate. It’s apparent that none of them learned a thing about diversity or critical thought while on The Hill.

Worse yet, we learned today that fellow Cornellian, Paul Wolfowitz, abused his authority at the World Bank by giving his girlfriend an undeserved promotion and $60k bump in pay.

When is a Cornell official or professor going to call these former students out as poor examples of the type of people Cornell once claimed it wanted to help mold?

Good riddance.
