Thursday 10/9:

Sneak Peek! Tonight at 8 p.m., Cornell Cinema will be screening a free sneak preview of Ridley Scott’s latest film, Body of Lies, in Uris auditorium. The film is based on David Ignatius’s novel about a CIA operative who chases a lead on a terrorist operating out of Jordan, and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. For (free!) tickets, go to WSH or download them from UberDuzi.com.
Cornell architecture alumnus investigates barns, scarecrows and archaic modes of printing. Interested in farm-itecture? Aleksander Mergold ’00, cofounder of Austin+Mergold, will be speaking at 5:15 p.m. today in 157 E. Sibley. If visuals appeal to you more than aural, check out the Austin+Mergold exhibit in Hartells Gallery in Sibley, today through Saturday.

Friday 10/10:
Liked the feature? Want to get more involved in the Deejay scene? Check out “The Underclass” DJ Showcase in RPCC. From 6:30 – 8 p.m., amateur college DJs from the upstate area will be spinning, mixing and turntabling. If you’re interested in participating, contact sas278@cornell.edu.
Have you ever wondered what a Scottish commune full of celebrity impersonators would be like? If so, you’re on the same page as Harmony Kline. Kline’s film Mister Lonely, about a Michael Jackson imitator and his compatriots, will be playing tonight in WSH at 9:30 p.m. Student tickets are $4.

Saturday 10/11:
Staying in Ithaca for Fall Break? Worried there will be nothing to do? USAISAMONSTER will be playing at the Chapter House, from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday. And how could you resist what you know will be the best combination ever: good music, beer, popcorn and (lest we forget) grad students?
The girls won’t be playing nice tonight as roller derby comes to Ithaca. Come cheer the hometown Sufferjets as the take on the Hellions of Troy for a good old ’70s-style smackdown on skates. Zany outfits and plenty of elbow checks guaranteed. The match starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Cass Park Rink (701 Taughannock Blvd.).
