Our new favorite ex-Governor turned Fox News contributor returns in this issue of the Sun to remind you of all her excellent 2009 exploits. Come on, whatever your political ideology, you know you laughed when Glenn Beck read to her what he had written in his diary.

Our new favorite ex-Governor turned Fox News contributor returns in this issue of the Sun to remind you of all her excellent 2009 exploits. Come on, whatever your political ideology, you know you laughed when Glenn Beck read to her what he had written in his diary.

1. The twitter updates dramatically recited as poetry by William Shatner on the Tonight Show. July 2009. “From sea life near lush wet rain forest / To energy housed on broken tundra atop permafrost / God most creatively displays his diversity in Alaksa.” “Left Unalakleet warmth for rain in Juneau tonite / No drought threat down here, ever / But consistent rain reminds us: ‘No rain? No rainbow!’” Hehehehe. ’Nuff said.

2. “It may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: ‘Sit down and shut up,’ but that’s the worthless, easy path; that’s a quitter’s way out.” -Sarah Palin, as she quits her post as Governor of Alaska. Ahh, the irony. July 2009.

3. “I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.” In an interview on ABC about ethics investigations in Alaska vs. in the White House, Palin refers to a non-existent department and claims that it would never stoop to investigate her or her husband’s ethics. Also July 2009. It was a great month.

4. Comedy Central strikes again at a book signing in Columbus, Ohio. November 2009. The issues important to the fans of Palin interviewed include: “realness,” “fairness,” “less spending,” “a healthy country,” “an end to politically correctness,” and “our line of defense against Russia if there’s an attack from that side.” Does it scare you? ’Cuz it scares me a little.

5. November 2009. Stephen Colbert refers to Sarah Palin’s book Going Rogue as a “steaming pile of sh**.” Not very nice, but oh so funny.
