On Sunday, sophomore pitcher Connor Kaufmann threw a no-hitter, helping the Red steal a 2-0 victory. The game was the first no-hitter for the Red since April 5, 1989, against Rochester in a similar seven-inning affair. The Big Red took the lead in the second inning, started by a two-out double from senior catcher Brandon Lee. He moved to third on a wild pitch and then scored on a single by Swinford. Senior Frank Hager gave the Red its other run with a line-drive home run over the left-field fence, which was his first homerun of the season. The second game of the two part series was delayed and was rescheduled to today at noon.
