Sophomore men’s squash player Ryan Todd was the only Red competitor to remain in the race for an Individual Championship after the second day of play this Saturday. He advanced to the consolation semifinals of the men’s B draw bracket in the National Individual Championships held at Trinity College.

Todd reached the consolation semifinals after defeating Middlebury’s Parker Hurst in three sets in the first round on Saturday. He then came away with a victory over Navy’s Jim Kacergis, boosting him into the semifinal round.

There, he went on to defeat St. Lawrence’s Kyle Ogilvy to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket, pitting him against Trinity’s Zeyad Elshorfy — the No. 4 seed. After Todd took the first set 11-7, the host team’s competitor fought back to win the next three and complete Todd’s run for an individual title.
