Big Red Goes Green

Of all the honors Cornell University has received, this recent one might just be the coolest. Probably because it’s literally the coolest.

You might not have known that we have 340 classes that teach sustainability, a climate change minor, or a pledge to considerably reduce our carbon emissions by 2050, but the Sierra Club did. That’s why it chose to spotlight Cornell in its magazine, Sierra, as the fifth ranked school on its “Ten Coolest Schools” list. Now that’s something we can all be proud of.

Check it out in the latest edition of the magazine and see what other “cool schools” are doing to go green, like first ranked University of Connecticut with its significant decrease in carbon dioxide emissions and water usage.
