City Sees Ten Days of Subzero Temperatures This Month

Ithacans faced yet another day of subzero temperatures Wednesday, bringing the total number of days this month with such temperatures to ten, according to data from the Northeast Regional Climate Center.

Temperatures, however, are set to reach a high of 29 degrees Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are set to remain in the 30’s throughout the span of the weekend.

There were three days in January 2013 with subzero temperatures, according to the NRCC.

The coldest recorded temperature in Ithaca was negative 25 degrees, which occurred in January 1957, according to data from the NRCC.
