Michele Norris, the former host of the National Public Radio evening news program, “All Things Considered,” will take to the podium in Sage Chapel Tuesday to tell the story of writing her self-described “accidental memoir.”

Her book, The Grace of Silence, was named one of the year’s best books by The Christian Science Monitor, the book began as a quest to uncover how Americans talked about race in the wake of the Obama presidential election, and has led to a spin-off blog called “The Race Card Project,” according to Norris’ website.
