Cornell Students: Debt a ‘Harsh Reality’

Though the average debt for graduating Cornell students is lower than the nationwide average — $20,490 compared to $26,600 in 2012, The Sun previously reported — finances remain a concern for many students.

Two-thirds of students at American colleges and universities graduate with some level of debt, according to a 2013 Forbes article.
