A woman may have been the victim of a drug-induced assault at a fraternity earlier this week, Cornell said Friday.

The incident occurred at 118 McGraw Pl., the location of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, the University said. According to reports, a female victim suffered complete memory loss after she consumed a drink given to her. Her friends later found her in the fraternity “in a disoriented, semi-conscious state.”

It was the second time the University issued a crime alert in the last day. Earlier Friday morning, the University said Cornell Police had started investigating a report that a woman was raped at a West Campus fraternity party Thursday.

Cornell Police are continuing to investigate. Community members should use the buddy system, not leave drinks unattended and be wary of accepting drinks from strangers or acquaintances, the University said in its crime alert.
