Though many students and Ithacans attended the 32nd Apple Harvest Festival, some vendors said they believe the construction had a negative effect on the festival.

Lewis Ward ’89, the business owner of Ward’s Maple Products and a graduate from Cornell’s Maple Program, has attended the festival for 25 years. Ward said he believes the construction on the Commons — which has been going on since April 2013 — has negatively affected the Applefest experience for vendors and attendees.
