Susan Murphy ’73 Ph.D ’94 — who will be retiring from her post as vice president for student and academic services in June — spoke of the importance of gratitude during a “Last Lecture” hosted by Mortar Board Wednesday.

“Since this is my last lecture, I’ve decided to focus … on giving thanks for a lifetime of friendship,” Murphy said. “I want to be intentional about expressing gratitude. … When I think of Cornell, I immediately think of the friendships I have made.”
