Tompkins County Residents Arrested For Manufacturing Meth

Eight people were arrested in Tompkins County tonight for allegedly manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s office.

Arrests were made at three distinct Newfield homes following raids conducted by the Ithaca Police Department, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, Special Operation Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators confiscated meth and items associated with the drug’s manufacturing from the “multiple active meth homes,” CNYCentral.com first reported.

The Tompkins county residents were charged with possession, unlawful manufacturing, criminal nuisance, and conspiracy, according to CNYCentral.com. They are currently being held at Tompkins County Jail.
