“Keeping our foot on the gas is something I think this team will be good at.”
“The work ethic on the team is great so I think they will build off of things we learned this year to be really successful in the upcoming years.”
It’s been tough sledding to start the season for the team, which now includes a loss in its Ivy League opener.
“The past five or six games have been really tuning things out, figuring out what’s the best way to proceed and what’s our plan of attack going to be.”
Women’s soccer isn’t letting a rocky two games to start the season shake the team with Ivy play in the mind.
“We have been taught some important lessons that only playing good opposition can yield. We will make the adjustments and get better.”
With a new head coach, the women come off as rejuvenated heading into the 2017 season.
The Red sent three riders to Lexington, Kentucky for the IHSA National Championship, and faced difficult competition. Yet, head coach Joanna Novakovic was pleased with her players’ performance
“We’re trying to show the world … that Cornell is still a force to be reckoned with.”
While the losses piled on this year, Farlow believes her team was in many more close games this year than in 2016. The balls just didn’t bounce the Red’s way on numerous occasions.
