“I’m really proud of the group we have as a senior class and I think that we’ve definitely left our mark at Cornell.”
“This team plays hard and cares for one another. The leadership in the locker room has been tremendous and that has been a key for us.”
“I don’t know if it has really hit me yet, but it is definitely an amazing way to possibly end my time at Lynah.”
It has been one of Cornell’s most successful regular seasons in recent memory. Now, the postseason presents a new beast.
“I’m very happy for our team. It’s definitely something that has eluded us and we missed [the title] by a goal one way or the other over the past couple years.”
“We’re trying to prove that we are one of the best teams in the ECAC right now.”
Harvard came to play on Saturday, much as the Red expected, but ultimately Cornell was in a position to win the game late. It was an uncharacteristic mistake that opened the door for Harvard.
“We know that anything can happen in our league,” said senior forward Hanna Bunton. “We know that Dartmouth and Harvard will be coming out strong.”
“We have a very competitive conference,” said head coach Doug Derraugh ’91. “So every game within the [ECAC] is important regardless of the opponent.”
The action continues for Cornell Men’s Hockey this week with a Tuesday match against Colgate. Despite the Raiders’ losing record, the Red must keep its energy high even with minimal rest.
