A non-student who allegedly stole laptops from Carpenter Hall has been arrested by police, the Cornell University Police Department said Friday.

Witnesses observed the 18-year-old man acting suspiciously and reported their concerns to police last week. Their information, as well as a criminal investigation, led police to arrest the man and charge him with two counts of burglary, one count of computer trespass and one count of petit larceny, according to an email sent by CUPD to the community.

The man has been arraigned in Ithaca City Court and jailed in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, according to the email.
