This Saturday, the Cornell men’s wrestling team will take on Ivy League opponent Brown at the Friedman Wrestling Center.

Historically, the Red has been able to hold its own against Brown, winning last season’s match against the Bears with an impressive score of 35-6.

“We feel pretty confident going into our match against Brown. We have always done pretty well against them, and I expect the same thing this year,” said senior Mike Nevinger.

After coming off a win last weekend against Harvard, the Red looks to carry its momentum forward and earn another win on Saturday, especially since Brown is in its conference. This match is the second Ivy competition of the season. The team has still been diligently preparing for the match, despite its confident attitude.

“Watching weight, working hard; the usual things. Nothing really changes; just striving to stay focused and learn and grow each match,” said sophomore Nahshon Garrett.
