Southwest-inspired Restaurant Opens at East Hill Plaza

Boasting a diverse menu of local and organic ingredients, AGAVA, a Southwest cuisine-inspired restaurant, opened Wednesday at East Hill Plaza. The venture is the product of more than a year of work by Collegetown Bagels and Ithaca Bakery owner Gregar Brous.

Cornellians vying for dates with campus politicos boasting of their “cuddling skills” may have been pleasantly surprised to see that also up for grabs at the Cornell Democrats’ date auction Monday night was none other than Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick ’09. The annual auction, which was held at Rulloff’s, wrapped up the Democrats’ spring semester efforts for the 2012 elections.
