If you're ever in the Bronx around the time of a Fordham football game, I recommend checking out Jack Coffey Field to see the Rams in action. The 82-year-old facility named after the legendary 817-win baseball coach sits 7,000 spectators and is a nice place to spend a fall Saturday afternoon. Quartered off from U.S. Route 1 with a view of Dr. Theodore Kazimiroff Blvd. (historic Southern Blvd.) and the New York Botanical Garden, the recently renovated complex is well-kept and, at least on Sept. 15, illuminated by a beaming sky on only a 70-degree day. My family and I enjoyed the food, loudspeaker music backdrops and warm atmosphere.
