President David Skorton responds to the backlash against his decision to continue the University's childcare contract with Bright Horizons.

A report issued by a special Faculty Senate Committee recommended that the University terminate its contract with Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the current daycare provider for the Cornell Child Care Center, after it committed multiple regulatory violations.

The Cornell Childcare Center has accumulated 47 violations since it opened approximately a year and a half ago. Spokespeople for the Center maintain, however, that the violations have since been remedied.
