After competitively screening close to 40 of the top architecture firms in the world, the University announced Tuesday that it has selected Thom Mayne of the firm Morphosis to design the first academic building for the New York City tech campus on Roosevelt Island.

Cornell is awaiting approval from the Ithaca Planning and Development Board for a recently revised proposal for means restriction on seven bridges on and off campus. The revisions aimed to minimize the visibility of the nets and make the areas where the bridges meet the gorges safer.
