Not sure what album you were listening too. This album is the most clever and well put together album from Jay-Z in many many years. Try reading along, I think there is a lot that you missed. Also, remember this is inspired by the movie; Jay is a gangster in this musical film. It's suppose to play like a movie - Beginning, middle, and end, hence the different moods.

The production is incredible. Puff suprisingly made some classic beats, Pharrel and JD out did themselves. The album flowed great.

I have not been as enthusiastic about a hip hop album in years. Jay-Z is the best that ever did it.
