A group of Cornell alumni have proposed building a statue to commemorate Touchdown the Bear -- Cornell's unofficial mascot -- by 2015; meanwhile, the Student Assembly recently struck down a measure that would have officialized Touchdown's mascot status. The Daily Sun took to the Arts Quad and asked Cornellians what they thought of the Bear's importance on campus.
