So if you haven’t noticed, there’s about a foot of fresh snow on the ground in Ithaca. Luckily for us, the temperature at the surface remained warm enough to keep the roads relatively clear, as well as to allow snow accumulating on tree branches to melt enough to keep downed limbs to a minimum. Today we will see the remnants of Yesterday’s Nor’easter that dropped over seven-and-a-half inches of rain in Central Park in a 24 hour period. The storm will move out late tonight, and warmer temperatures will move into our area. However, due to all of the fresh snow, we will see some fog as it melts as well as some flooding in low land areas. The weekend looks incredible as temperatures will return to the upper 50s and we should even see the Sun! Hopefully the snow will have melted by then.
