• Looking to buy someone a gift? Head over to the Country Folk Art & Craft Show at Syracuse’s Empire Expo Center, NYS Fairgrounds tonight. Located at 581 State Fair Blvd., the Empire Expo Center will be filled with decorations for the home, great gifts and other interesting works of art. Crafts will be on display between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. so get going right now!

• I bet a lot of you could really use a good laugh right now. Well, go no further than to the University of Rochester’s Strong Auditorium tonight at 9 p.m. Emmy-nominated Demetri Martin will be performing stand up comedy. A contributor to both The Daily Show and Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Martin, who was also in an episode of The Flight of the Conchords, should produce a few laughs.

• Disappointed about how the third Spiderman movie turned out? Regain your trust in comics at The Comic Book Club of Ithaca’s “Winter Comic Book Show” this weekend. Writers, illustrators and novelists will all be at the Women’s Community Building at Seneca and Cayuga St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow. All are welcome — comic fanatics or people with nothing else to do.

• The BBC National Orchestra of Wales will be performing at Binghamton University tomorrow at 8 p.m. Taking place in the Osterhout Concert Theater in the Anderson Center, the show features conductor Thierry Fischer and pianist Llyr Williams. The concert will include the works of Strauss, Bartok, Stavinsky and Britten. Get there early and have your ears at attention.
