On Saturday, junior libero Meagan Mushovic recorded 18 digs, bringing her career total to 1,362 digs, breaking the Red’s career record. The record was previously held by fellow libero Kelly Kramer, who played for Cornell from 2002-2005. Kramer, a star libero who helped lead Cornell to the Ivy title in 2005, has held or still holds many of Cornell’s digs-related records, which Mushovic has been steadily overtaking.

Mushovic, a Human Biology, Health and Society major from Coronado, Calif., grabbed headlines as a sophomore, earning the Red’s MVP award after a season in which she averaged 6.16 digs per game, eighth in the nation. Mushovic also broke Cornell’s record for digs in a single season as well as the record for digs per game.
