Well, Cornell Days will begin tomorrow, and we would normally expect nice weather. The Ithaca-esque weather usually lightens up and gives visiting families deceptive vibes about how nice our weather is.
This will not be the case, for the first time in several years, as nasty weather will pester us throughout the end of the week, and into the weekend. A strong cold front moving through the area today will cause moderate rain, as well as a chance of a morning thunderstorm. Ultimately, it is part of a changing weather pattern where cold air advection tonight opens the door for colder Canadian air to head our way. An upper level low will situate itself over the northeastern portion of the U.S. allowing for several smaller disturbances to give us a chance of snow and reinforce the cold air for a bit.
