If a certain few curse words come to your mind after you read this forecast, I don’t blame you. As a matter of fact, I am cursing with you. This weather we are having is downright disgusting and depressing. We are in the middle of April, for crying out loud. Alright I’m done complaining.
We are in the path of a nasty low pressure system that is strengthening to our southwest after coming from near the Rockies. It will approach us from this direction after gaining all of its moisture from southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico. Precipitation will begin as rain, due to the “warm” temperatures we have today, but will change over to sleet and snow tonight into tomorrow afternoon. It could be worse, however, as higher elevation regions to the east of us are expected to get upwards of 7” of snow.
