Did an extraterrestrial being create the earth and life on it?
I hope that the Cornell Sun staffers question the new provost on positions that may be informed by his religious beliefs. How (and when) was the universe created? Is personal revelation a basis for truth claims? How do regnant theories of evolution square with the idea that humanity was created in the image and likeness of a Christian god? What is the relationship between personal moral principle and secular law in a pluralistic society?
We deserve to know how our chief academic officer will be thinking as he leads us.
