Polo Teams Trounce UConn at Home
November 18th, 2009The men’s polo team may have a case of triskaidekaphobia, or fear of the number 13, as the Red held its second chukker goal total against UConn this past weekend to a mere 12, not wishing to invite any misfortune, especially on, you know, Friday the 13th. Read More
The ‘Reality’ of Coaches’ Salaries
November 18th, 2009Correction Appended The Real World: for some it’s a pretty terrible reality television show on MTV, for others its life after Cornell, for others it’s the state of being they realize when they’re not heavily intoxicated after a long night at Johnny O’s. But regardless, the Real World is coming, and none of us can stop it. (Unless, that is, you are Hiro Nakamura). Read More
Madison Square Garden: As Intimate as Lynah
November 18th, 2009Lynah Rink is small enough that someone leading a cheer in Section E can be identified and personally complimented by a discerning fan in Section B in the hallway in between periods. That’s probably the greatest thing about Lynah. So when it was announced that the Big Red was to embrace the Big Apple and battle Boston University at Madison Square Garden in a 2007 debut, we all had big expectations. Read More

Red Still Needs to Learn How to Finish
November 16th, 2009Driving back to Ithaca from Brown University (where we saw Emma Watson!), it is painful not to second guess what might have been Friday night against Yale. We can only imagine the team feels the same way. Read More
M. Hockey Falls to Yale, Routs Brown
November 16th, 2009For the men’s hockey team, it seems like there’s just something about Yale. The No. 12 Bulldogs won all three contests between the two teams last season, including a 5-0 rout in the ECAC Hockey championship game. And despite the No. 3 Red’s hot start to the season, Yale outskated Cornell once again on Friday in New Haven, Conn., and came away with a 4-2 win. The Red took out its frustration the next night in a 6-0 thrashing of Brown. Read More
