W. Hockey Hits the Road for Union, Rensselaer
November 5th, 2009After a historic weekend of sweeping two Ancient Eight rivals, the women’s hockey team prepares to hit the road this weekend to face two non-Ivy teams. Friday afternoon the Red (2-2, 2-0) will meet at Union’s Messa Rink at 3 p.m. to take on the Dutchwomen (2-6), followed by a 2:30 p.m. match the following day at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2-5-3). Volleyball Looks to Improve Ancient Eight Standing, Break Losing Streak

Polo Squad Faces Crimson
November 5th, 2009This weekend, both the men and women’s polo teams, coached by David Elredge, will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to face off against Eastern Regional opponent Harvard at the Myopia Outdoor Arena. The men’s team will ride at 2 p.m. on Saturday, while the women’s match begins at 2 p.m. on Friday. Read More
Squash Opens Season With New Haven Scrimmage
November 5th, 2009The men’s and women’s squash teams, under the direction of coaches Mark and Julee Devoy, will begin scrimmage play this weekend in New Haven, Conn. The men’s team finished last season with a 13-5 record, good for 6th place nationally, while the women’s team earned the same ranking with a 10-6 record. Read More
Women’s Tennis Competes at Harvard Invite
November 5th, 2009The women’s tennis team closes its fall season this weekend at the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge, Mass. The Red will be facing tough Ivy League competition from Harvard and Brown, along with LSU. The Harvard Invitational is a round robin format tournament, with the eventual winner determined by who wins the most matches. Read More
Equestrian Back to Competition This Weekend at Oxley
November 5th, 2009The Red equestrian team returns to action next Saturday when it hosts the Cornell Invitational at the Oxley Equestrian Center. The Invitational, which will start at 8:30 a.m. and extend until late in the afternoon, will feature events such as equitation over fences, flat equitation, walk-trot-canter and walk-trot. Read More
Kevin App ’07 Returns to Help Coach Men’s B-Ball
November 4th, 2009Less than three years after graduating from Cornell in 2007, Kevin App has returned to the Hill ready to once again imprint his mark on Cornell athletics –– accepting the position of assistant coach of the men’s basketball team. App, who served as a tri-captain his senior year, graduated with a degree in civil engineering and spent one year working as project manager for a construction company in Bethesda, Md. Upon realizing that he missed being around basketball, App, with the help of Cornell men’s basketball head coach Steve Donahue, secured a position as assistant coach at Williams College for the 2008-09 season. However, after former Cornell assistant coach Zach Spiker accepted a job at Army, Donahue contacted App about rejoining the Red as a member of the coaching staff. Read More
Fencing Opens Season at Temple

All you have to do is look around, notice the mass of people jamming away on their laptops, appearing to do serious work.
