Women’s Duo Wins Doubles in Mixed Weekend for Tennis

The tennis teams — both men’s and wome’ns — had a mixed weekend, with both teams winning and some and losing some in their respective invitationals.

The women finished up the weekend at the prestigious Eastern Championships. the event was massive, with 30 different teams attending the competition hosted by Army.

In Honors Singles, junior Leagh Seyburn defeated Bowdion’s Liz Pedowitz in the Survival Beta Finals, 8-2. Freshman Christina Ordwat lost to Army in the Desire Singles Semifinals, 8-2.

In the men’s College Invitational at the USTA National Tennis Center, in Fushing, N.Y., the men in the Flight A singles lost to finals contenders in the quartterfinals Cornell had multiple semifinalists — in both singles and doubles — but no one was able to bring home a title for the Red.
