For the third time in the past month, junior forward Daniel Haber was awarded the men’s soccer Player of the Week for the Ivy League, which he shared with Penn’s Stephen Baker. The two all-stars will face off when Penn comes to the hill on Saturday for both team’s Ivy opener.
Haber was named the Ivy League’s Player of the Week after Week 1 and Week 2 of this season and was given the honor twice last season. He was also named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week this week and earned a spot on that team after the first week of the season as well.
During victories for the Red last week, Haber scored four goals and had two assists. For the year he has 11 goals total and leads the league in goals and points at 26. On Wednesday night against Binghamton, Haber grabbed two goals and an assist in the game. In Saturday’s matchup against St. Joseph’s, he picked up a pair of points in four minutes to come back and steal the game.
The Red also moved up to No. 29 as a team in the College Soccer News National Poll.
