The Edmonton Oilers have a legacy of strong first-round picks, from Paul Coffey to Grant Fuhr to Ales Hemsky. The latest Oilers prospect, freshman Riley Nash, plays in Cornell’s own backyard and has been recently excelling for the men’s hockey team. For Nash, though, the high selection, 21st overall in the 2007 NHL Draft, was a bit of a surprise.
