As President David Skorton spoke in honor of the one-year anniversary of the signing of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, groups from across the University showcased projects and plans aimed to promote a more sustainable campus.
On Feb. 22, 2007, Cornell became one of almost 80 schools to pledge that they “recognize the need to reduce the global emission of greenhouse gases by 80 percent by mid-century at the latest.”
