The team used roughly 200 plastic water bottles found on campus to create the display. This represents 1/20th of the plastic waste generated by Cornell undergraduate students on a daily basis.
With the recent finalization of their design, Voices of African Mothers’ vision of building the school came closer to reality, and brought the NGO closer to achieving its larger mission of developing African nations through the empowerment and education of women and children.
SEG has united its passion and talents with the input of Voices of African Mothers and the local community to design and plan the construction of the school.
