When Julia Haber — a recent graduate of Syracuse University and the founder of branding company WAYV — approached Entrepreneurship at Cornell’s Director Zachary J. Shulman, ’87 J.D. ’90 with a proposal for an entrepreneurship pop-up event on campus, Shulman gladly agreed.
The Dyson Students of Color Coalition is hosting a pop-up shop in the Willard Straight Hall Student Union to provide free professional clothes to students to reduce barriers in academic and professional settings.
The long-anticipated Anabel’s Grocery made a brief appearance last week with a soft-opening pop-up shop in Willard Straight Hall. The store was able to show off products, as well as test out its equipment and check-out process.
The owner-chefs Corey and Kevin Adleman are relatively new in town. A few months ago they held full-time jobs in big fancy restaurants and the catering business. Taco Tuesday was their first foray into a bigger venture than small office parties and gatherings of family and friends.
