Body of Cornell Alum Recovered From Collegetown Gorge
October 15th, 2008At about 2:00 p.m. yesterday, the body of Jakub J. Janecka ’98 was found at the bottom of Cascadilla Gorge, under the College Avenue Bridge connecting Collegetown to Central Campus. A Cornell Police officer stated that the 33 year old had allegedly dove head-first into the gorge. Around 2:30, Janecka’s body was removed on a stretcher and transported to the Cayuga Medical Center Morgue by Bangs Ambulance. Read More
