Golf Heads to Bucknell Invitational

Print More

This weekend, the golf team is traveling to Pennsylvania for the Bucknell invitational. The field at this week’s tournament will include a number of Ivy-League teams, and the Red is hoping to make an impact.

Last week at the Cornell/Colgate tournament, which was played at Ithaca’s Robert Trent Jones course, the team was hardly Woodsian. It finished in ninth place, well behind champion Binghamton. The highest placing golfer, David Nyack, tied for 22nd place, 15 strokes off the lead. Coroner Brown, the second highest placing Cornell golfer, finished in 26th place, 16 strokes off the pace.

After a week of practicing on the greens, the team is looking forward to building on its solid start.
