The Ithaca Police Department concluded its investigation last Friday into the death of Jacy Henderson, an Ithaca resident who was found last week in the Cascadilla gorge.

Last seen at about 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Henderson, 23, had fallen into the gorge near the Stewart Ave. bridge, and his body was discovered early the next morning.

Investigators ruled the cause of death to be an accident, citing the dangers of walking along the edge of the gorges at night.

A recent graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., Henderson had come to Ithaca to be with his girlfriend.

His hometown was Upton, Mass.
