Fencing Opens at Temple

Print More

The women’s fencing team will open its season at the Temple Open. Last year the team had a .500 winning percentage, with a 8-8 record (0-5 Ivy).

The Red looks to improve upon this record with a strong performance this year.

Coaches and players believe that these tournaments early in the year are a good way to gauge what stage the players are. This fencing tournament pits a strong gathering from various East Coast teams.

This is the first tournament in a season filled with twelve competitions. The Temple Open is a renowned event with tough competition.

The Red looks to improve upon its mediocre season and rise in the echalants of the Ivy league. Its first home game is against Sacred Heart, Cleveland State, Case Western Reserve on November 19th.
