The Aquabats’ Myths, Legends and other Amazing Adventures album is filled with exactly what we have come to expect from them: extremely sarcastic ska.

Indeed, songs such as “Pizza Day,” accompanied by social commentaries such as “Worms Make Dirt,” make this album one of the group’s best. They have returned much more philosophical and reflective, with lyrics like, “sometimes it’s mighty lonely when you’re alone.”

While some of the beats get repetitive, its to be expected. After all, “For the most part, this record contains songs that we just demoed and forgot about, or that were left half-written and never finished,” says the MC Bat Commander.
