Author Bard Tackles Arab-Israeli Conflict

Political scientist and author Michael Bard tackled the controversial issues surrounding “Arab-Israeli Conflict and Prospects for Peace” yesterday evening in a packed Hollis E. Cornell Auditorium, at a talk by the same name.

Bard, executive director of the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise in Washington, D.C., and author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Middle East Conflict, distinguished between “what is black and white, what is gray, and … what is completely untrue” in the Arab-Israeli peace process.

Bard first addressed the geographical and religious factors involved in the conflict to explain Israel’s priority for security.
