With each listen of "Gloomy Sunday," the first track from Heather Nova's latest album, South, I cringe. It's not so much the overproduced, cheesy orchestration, the synthesized beats, the trite lyrics, or her uninventive vocal styling which cause me to physically shudder, but rather the realization that I have to endure twelve more tracks of this dreadful album.
